In a grand event yesterday, HMSI or Honda’s two-wheeler wing, unveiled 10 new two-wheelers that will be launched in the Indian market soon. One such bike is the XR 300L dual-sport bike, which happens to be the most interesting bike among all the new products.
Honda XR 300L: Everything to know about it
The new XR 300L was showcased in India by HMSI, and a confirmation was also given that it will launch soon. The XR 300L is an international product, and it is immensely popular for its dual-sport capabilities, including off-road capability, rugged design, durable engine, and touring capacity.
The Indian-spec XR 300L boasts the same design as the international model. The bike has a slim body with minimal panels and a single seat with a high riding position. The rider footpegs are set a bit towards the rear, while the front beak and the long-travel suspension make sure that its dual-sport design stands out. Buyers will also love the upswept exhaust that will help during water crossings.
In terms of features, the showcased bike had a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, switchable rear ABS, a dual-channel ABS, LED headlight, 21/18-inch spoked wheels with dual-sport tyres, 260 mm of suspension travel on both ends, telescopic front suspension and a monoshock rear suspension, and more.
Powering the XR 300L is a 293.5cc single-cylinder oil-cooled motor that produces 26.9 bhp and 26.6 Nm of power and torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. With these specifications, the XR 300L will be positioned somewhere around the TVS RTX 300 and the Hero Xpulse 210.
Honda has not revealed the exact launch date for it, but we can safely say that it will be launched by the end of this year. The pricing could be somewhere around Rs 2.5-2.7 lakh.
