The new ZR-V Hybrid SUV was revealed in India a few weeks ago along with the commencement of its pre-bookings. The ZR-V is powered by Honda’s trademark hybrid powertrain that works on the Atkinson cycle. It gets a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine that offers 181 bhp and 350 Nm, does 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and offers a claimed mileage of 22.80 km/l. It keeps on switching between EV and petrol power, depending on the driving conditions. Sadly, it does not come with an AWD configuration, and it is strictly a front-wheel drive car.

The exterior styling of the ZR-V might not excite everyone as it does not get the fancy connected LED lights and extraordinary styling elements, but it is a subtle crossover with a timeless design. The front gets sleek LED headlamps with a sculpted bumper and a grille with horizontal slats.

The side profile features the 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a sloping roofline along chiselled body panels. The rear profile looks sporty with a raked windshield, a roof-mounted spoiler, twin LED taillights, and a coupe-like outlook.

Step inside, and the ZR-V greets you with a classy cabin design with Honda’s rich fit and finish and premium materials. The dashboard gets a clean and big digital instrument console, a floating infotainment screen with wireless connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pad, electronic parking brake, sunroof, LED cabin lights, ambient lighting, leather upholstery, powered front seats, ventilated seats, electric tailgate, and more.

The overall cabin experience of the ZR-V is spacious and comfortable for five passengers. The NVH levels are superb, and the SUV has been tuned for a chauffeur-driven experience. In terms of the safey it gets the Level 2 ADAS features like the pedestrian collision avoidance system, traffic sign recognition, rear-cross traffic alert, auto emergency braking, and more.

With that said, the first two batches of the ZR-V Hybrid SUV have already sold out, and the brand will soon commence the bookings for more units.
