Mini has revealed the price of its latest locally assembled model, called Countryman C. The new Countryman C is the third iteration in the Countryman series, and it is also the most affordable as it has been priced at an introductory tag of Rs 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Countryman C will be assembled at BMW’s production plant on a separate production line. Interestingly, the BMW X1 is also produced at this plant, and the Countryman C shares its underpinnings and engine specifications with the new X1.
Powering the Countryman C is the 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol motor that is also shared with the X1. This 156 bhp engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it comes with front-wheel drive as of now. The company claims a fuel economy of up to 15.92 km/l, and the top speed is 212 km/h for this variant.
On the outside, the Countryman C comes with a dual-tone body paint. There are five exterior colour options to choose from: Chilli Red, Smokey Green, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, and Slate Blue. The Countryman C is available in a single, fully-loaded variant called Favoured.
The exterior design comprises the adaptive LED headlamps, a trademark Mini split-type grille that is accentuated by the golden finish surround, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, body cladding, vertical LED taillights, and the Countryman lettering on the curvy boot.
Meanwhile, the cabin consists of a familiar design seen on the JCW All4 variant. It gets a clean dashboard with an oval OLED infotainment screen, vertically-stacked air conditioning vents, a head-up display, a three-spoke steering wheel, Anthracite leather headliner, dual-tone leather upholstery, electric front seats with ventilation, paddle shifters, massaging driver’s seat, custom ambient lighting, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and an interior camera.
The Countryman C also gets Level 1 ADAS features, which include blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, a front collision alert, and more.
