Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Speed Twin 1200 TFC in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 21 lakh. Revealed globally just a day earlier, the limited-edition motorcycle is based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS and is restricted to just 750 units worldwide, with each bike carrying its own unique serial number.
The new model also joins an exclusive club, becoming only the fifth motorcycle to receive Triumph’s coveted Factory Custom (TFC) treatment.
Premium hardware throughout
While the engine remains unchanged, Triumph has equipped the Speed Twin 1200 TFC with several high-end components to set it apart from the standard RS.
The motorcycle features Ohlins suspension at both ends, comprising upside-down front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema M4.30 front calipers, complemented by a Brembo MCS adjustable front brake lever for improved feel and adjustability.
Triumph has also fitted Akrapovic titanium silencers with carbon-fibre end caps, adding both a visual and acoustic upgrade.
Same engine, sportier ergonomics
Power comes from the familiar 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that develops 105 hp at 7,750 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
One of the biggest changes is the riding position. The TFC replaces the standard handlebar with clip-on handlebars, giving the motorcycle a more aggressive, café racer-inspired stance.
Triumph has also managed to shave off some weight, with the Speed Twin 1200 TFC tipping the scales at 214 kg (wet), making it 2 kg lighter than the Speed Twin 1200 RS.
Exclusive by design
Apart from its mechanical upgrades, exclusivity is a major part of the package. With production capped at just 750 units globally, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is aimed squarely at collectors and enthusiasts looking for something rarer than the standard model.
Each motorcycle is individually numbered, further enhancing its appeal.
