Harley-Davidson Softail recall 2026 details
The latest recall by the cult motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, has affected nearly 17,000 customers in its home market. The latest recall affects the Softail models, which include the bikes like the Street Bob, Heritage Classic, Low Rider S, and Low Rider ST.
The issue has been reported with the rear brake line of these models. As per the feedback, the affected models have a faulty rear brake line that can come in contact with the BCM or Body Control Module. The ultimate result can be fatal, as this can lead to a complete failure of the rear brake, as the rear brake fluid can bleed out completely.
The brand is yet to send an official notification to the owners affected by this recall. The notifications are scheduled to be sent on May 18, 2026. The brand is currently identifying the affected units. Moreover, it is unclear whether this recall affects any units sold in India or not.
