KTM 390 engine stalling recall details

As per the latest announcement made by KTM in the global market, the brand has recalled its MY 2024-26 390 models, which include the KTM 390 Enduro R, SMC R, Adventure 390, Adventure 390 X, Adventure 390 R, and the 390 Duke. The recall has been made as a precautionary measure to resolve an issue reported by users regarding the engine stalling at lower RPMs.

This issue, although rare as per KTM, has been majorly reported on the more off-road and hardcore-centric models. However, the solution is simple. An ECU software flash will resolve it within a minute, and even add better rideability, improved low-end torque, and increased engine stability at the lower rpm.

However, it is important to note that only the models with the 399cc liquid-cooled engine have been affected by this issue. The old 373cc engine-equipped models do not fall under this recall. Additionally, it is suspected that the Husqvarna bikes based on the 399cc engine are also likely to get the same recall in the near future.
