Royal Enfield Scram 450: Everything we know so far

A latest online report has revealed that Royal Enfield is working on the K2K project (internal codename), which is a new Scrambler motorcycle powered by the Sherpa 450 platform. This model is slated to be revealed in the first quarter of next year.

Unlike the current Scram 440, which has the traits of a proper Scrambler, but it is still not one, the Scram 450 (anticipated name) will offer a completely unique design with a 19-inch front wheel, an upright riding position, and design traits that will make it stand apart.

Since it will use the 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled Sherpa engine from the Himalayan 450, we believe that the power and torque figures will also belong in the same ballpark as the ADV. However, different gearing, sprockets, and engine tuning will set it apart in terms of riding experience.

Moreover, the current platform used by the Guerrilla 450 and the Himalayan 450 will be used on the Scram 450. Thus, it will get the same list of features as the current 450 models. However, a six-axis IMU could be added, which will offer features like cornering ABS and more.

More details regarding the Scram 450 are likely to surface in the coming months.
