Tata Motors is set to introduce its next electric vehicle in India, and it will be the electrified version of the Safari. The upcoming Safari EV has been spied once again, with the fresh images revealing its new dashboard and the triple-screen display carried over from the Sierra.

Tata Safari EV: What do we know so far?

Upcoming Tata Safari EV

The upcoming Safari EV will be based on the brand’s Acti.ev+ (Gen 2) architecture. Although the previous and the new spy shots show that the overall design silhouette of the EV will be similar to the ICE Safari. However, it will feature EV-specific design traits like a blanked-off front grille, a new vertical LED headlight setup, new alloys, redesigned taillights, and new bumpers. In its typical fashion, Tata will also offer exclusive paint options for the Safari EV.

The latest details in the fresh spy images show that the production-spec Safari EV will feature a redesigned dashboard with the triple-screen setup that made its debut on the Tata Sierra. This display will get a floating standalone design, along with a new sloping dashboard and a four-spoke steering wheel. With that said, we can also safely assume that it will get the augmented reality 3D head-up display and other similar features that made their debut on the Sierra.

The Safari EV will be Tata’s first electric three-row SUV. It will share its battery specifications with the Harrier EV, which means that customers will likely get a 65 kWh and a 75 kWh battery option. Moreover, the latter is also likely to come with the QWD, also known as all-wheel drive tech by Tata. Although the QWD will most likely be offered on the range-topping model. Tata will also equip the Safari EV with a host of new ADAS safety features.

The expected launch timeline of the Safari EV is around the Diwali festive season this year. It will be positioned against the Mahindra XEV 9E, and its prices will also be in a similar ballpark as the XEV 9E.
