Bharat NCAP has revealed the crash test score of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, conducted in July 2026. The crash test agency has revealed that the seven-seater SUV scored a 5-star rating in the crash test.
Bharat NCAP report has revealed that the agency tested the AX7 diesel seven-seater automatic variant and the AX7 L diesel 4WD seven-seater automatic variant. This score applies to a wide range of variants that come equipped with similar safety features as these variants.
Speaking of the details, the XUV 7XO scored 30.76 points out of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection. The SUV received 14.76 points out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, and 16/16 points in the side movable deformable barrier crash test. The XUV 7XO also cleared the side pole impact test.
In terms of Child Occupant Protection, the XUV 7XO received 44.97/49 points, along with a dynamic score of 23.97/24 points. In the vehicle assessment score, the SUV received 9/12 points, while in the CRS installation score, it received 12/12 points.
With this score, the XUV 7XO is now one of the safest SUVs on sale in India. Mahindra has equipped it with standard safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, pedestrian protection, seat belt reminders, electronic stability control, seat belt pretensioners, ISOFIX child seat points, and an optional knee airbag for the driver.
The variants tested by Bharat NCAP come with autonomous safety assist features that include adaptive cruise control, lane departure and lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, booster LED headlights, traffic sign recognition, etc.
Mahindra offers the XUV 7XO with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Customers also get a choice to opt for the AWD version.
