Key highlights
- Skoda Auto India will increase ex-showroom prices by up to 1.2% across its portfolio
- The revised prices will be effective from October 1, 2026
- The maximum increase has been capped at Rs 20,000, depending on the model and variant
Skoda Auto India has announced a price increase across its entire India portfolio, with the revised prices coming into effect from October 1, 2026. The company has attributed the increase to rising input and operational costs.
The hike will be limited to up to 1.2% at the ex-showroom level, although the actual increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Skoda has capped the maximum price increase at Rs 20,000. The company has not provided a model-wise breakdown of the revised prices in the announcement.
Skoda’s 2026 product offensive
The price revision comes after a busy year for Skoda in India. The company says it began 2026 with a plan for 10 product actions and has since introduced the new Kushaq and Slavia, updates to the Kodiaq, the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS, along with new trims and features for the Kylaq.
The Kylaq Sportline was also introduced earlier this year, adding a sportier variant to the compact SUV’s line-up.
Sales cross 50,000 units in 2026
Skoda says it recorded its highest-ever annual sales in 2025, with 72,655 cars sold. The brand has also registered its highest-ever first-half sales in 2026.
As of August 2026, Skoda had sold more than 50,000 vehicles in India, representing growth of over 8% compared with the same period last year. The company has also crossed 250,000 locally manufactured cars in India, including the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia.
Its network has expanded to more than 345 touchpoints across 193 cities.
Final thoughts
The latest price revision is relatively contained, but buyers planning to purchase a Skoda from October will have to account for the additional cost. With the increase varying by model and variant, exact revised prices will become important for customers comparing different versions.
