Harley-Davidson has a surprise for the Indian market. However, this surprise got leaked just days ahead of its official debut. The American brand is going to introduce a downsized version of the X440. It will be called the X350 T, and the production-spec bike just got leaked directly from the production plant.
Harley-Davidson X350 T: What do we know so far?
The fresh spy shots of a showroom-ready X350 T have surfaced online recently. The new X350 T is based on the X440, and just like the KTM and Triumph, Harley-Davidson has also kept the X350 T similar to the X440.
The bike looks almost identical to the X440, save for the X350 badge. The badge confirms that it is equipped with a downsized 349cc engine. Why? Because of GST 2.0 benefits. The current X440 is powered by a 440cc engine, which attracts 40 percent GST. By downsizing, Harley will be able to cut the price of the X350 T and position it below Rs 1.80 lakh (expected), as two-wheelers below 349cc are subject to 18 percent GST.
Meanwhile, the new engine is likely to offer reduced power and torque. We believe that it will offer somewhere around 21-22 bhp and 30 Nm. However, the rest of the motorcycle, including the hardware, is expected to be similar to the X440.
The only differentiating factors between the X440 and the X350 T will be new colours, new graphics, and a different exhaust note due to the engine downsizing. Moreover, customers who mostly use their bikes in the city will love the downsized engine as it will be more tractable and more efficient.
However, its highway cruising ability is likely to take a hit as the downsizing will definitely cut the top of the mid-range power. Meanwhile, features like the LED lights, TFT console, etc., are likely to be offered as they are.
The X350 T is expected to break cover at the EICMA 2026 starting from November 3, 2026. It could be launched in India by December 2026.
