2027 Triumph Thruxton 400: What to expect?

The latest spotting of an upcoming Thruxton 400 test mule has revealed that the bike will get a new 4-inch TFT instrument console from the Bonneville T40 soon. The test bike looks production-ready, and it has a host of other tech upgrades.
This new TFT console is likely to offer a lot of connected features. These will include 5 ride modes that can be toggled from the new D-pad switchgear on the left side of the handlebar. These ride modes will include Eco, Road, and Rain, and Rider A and Rider B custom modes. Not only these, but this screen will also offer full navigation via phone mirroring, SMS and call alerts, music controls, gear indicator, fuel economy, and other vital stats.

Additionally, the switchgear has now been revised. The left-side clip-on handlebar gets the new D-pad and new buttons for cruise control, confirming the addition of this feature. Meanwhile, the hazard light button has been repositioned as well. Some online reports also hint that a lean-sensitive ABS and cornering traction control will also be introduced as part of the six-axis IMU upgrade.
With all these changes, the Thruxton 400 will remain technically unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 349cc liquid-cooled engine that offers 40 PS and 32 Nm, while paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The updated Thruxton 400 could be introduced by January 2027. It will be priced slightly higher than the current model due to the upgrades.
