Aprilia launches SR 175 Tribute in India

Key Highlights

  • Aprilia India has launched the SR 175 Tribute, a special edition of the SR 175 hp-e.
  • It is available in a single Matte Green colour with camouflage-inspired graphics and orange alloy wheels.
  • The mechanicals are identical to the standard SR 175 hp-e.

Aprilia India has just added a new variant to its SR scooter lineup. Meet the SR 175 Tribute, a special edition built around a patriotic theme, inspired by the armed forces and designed to stand out on the road.

The SR 175 Tribute is available in a single colour: Matte Green. The finish is paired with full-body camouflage-inspired graphics and 14-inch alloy wheels finished in orange. It is a bold, distinctive combination that is unlike anything else in the sporty scooter segment right now.

What Is New

The Tribute edition is a styling and theme exercise, not a mechanical one. The 175cc hp-e engine is carried over unchanged from the standard SR 175. It produces 13.08 hp of power at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Top speed is 95 km/h. Transmission is a CVT.

The bodywork and graphics do all the talking here. Camouflage panels, the distinctive orange rims, and full LED lighting give it a road presence that is purposeful and eye-catching. Aprilia describes the Tribute as a hat tip to the armed forces, built with the spirit of fearless speed in mind.

On the technology front, the SR 175 Tribute carries the same 5-inch full-colour TFT dashboard as the standard SR 175 hp-e. Bluetooth connectivity links to your smartphone for navigation, calls, music control, and ride information.

Aprilia India has not officially announced the price as of now. Given that the standard SR 175 hp-e is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom), expect the Tribute edition to carry a small premium.

For anyone who wanted the SR 175 but felt the standard colours were too tame, Aprilia has just solved that problem.
