The 2026 Aprilia SR GT 200 Sport update is purely a colour story. No new engine, no revised suspension, no updated electronics.
The new colours
Aprilia has introduced three new colour options for the SR GT 200 Sport: Space White, Savana Grey, and Street Gold. The most eye-catching of the three is Street Gold, which features a vibrant gold front apron and rear panels, bold graphics, and red wheels and rear suspension. It is a loud, confident colour choice that suits the SR GT’s maxi-scooter proportions well. The Space White is equally sharp with white trim that stands out clearly, while Savana Grey is the most understated of the three for riders who prefer a cleaner look.
What has not changed
The SR GT 200 Sport itself remains unchanged underneath. It is powered by a 200cc single-cylinder engine, rides on large 14-inch front and 13-inch wheels, and comes with full LED lighting and a monochrome LCD display. The tall windscreen, upright ergonomics, and rugged bodywork give it a purposeful maxi-scooter character that is increasingly rare in this displacement class.
Coming to India?
The 2026 update has been announced for Malaysia. Aprilia has not made a formal announcement for the Indian market yet. We currently get the SR 125 and the SR 175 here. However, Aprilia should really consider getting a 200cc maxi-scooter to India and this could be the right product.
India’s love for power scooters is growing. The success of the N-torq 150 and the Burgman Street is testament that bigger scooters are better. An Aprilia SR GT 200 Sport in that Street Gold, could be an attention grabber and some will buy it for that reason alone.
