Ford Racing to debut the third-gen GT sports car?

Not long ago, Ford Motor Company separated its racing division for good. Called ‘Ford Racing’, the sporty division has been silently working on a sports car that could change the segment forever.

As per the latest announcement by the company, this new ‘production road car’ will debut worldwide on January 15, 2026. While the officials did not share more details about what it could be or how powerful it is going to be, they did certainly say that it will focus on bringing the racetrack learnings and technical innovations to the road-spec car.

As of now, we are also short on the exact details about this unknown sports car. However, this could possibly be the third-gen GT. Ford discontinued the second-gen in 2022, and no replacement model was promised back then. However, the GT nameplate is associated with the brand’s identity worldwide, hence it could return in a new form.

Some online reports are hinting at a 1,000 bhp electric SUV, which Ford had confirmed in the past. Whatever this is, more details will be certainly revealed in the coming days.
