The S6 scrambler is based on Royal Enfield’s new electric platform, which is also shared with the upcoming C6. Unlike the C6, which is an urban bike, the S6 is likely to offer the rider soft off-road capabilities.

As seen on the display bike, the overall design of the S6 is sleek and uses minimalist panels, including a single Rally seat and slim tail section. However, it does get the same dummy fuel tank as the C6.

Apart from the fuel tank, the rest of the motorcycle features minimal panels and metal use. It does maintain the retro charm with the round headlight and the round TFT console.

Royal Enfield has suspended the S6 on the set of Showa USD front and monoshock rear suspension. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with block-pattern tyres.

The battery has been neatly placed under the fuel tank, covered in a magnesium case that helps in reducing the kerb weight and increasing the thermal efficiency. The final drive duty is done by a conventional chain.

The S6 is essentially a combination of the city bike and a trail motorcycle. Therefore, we believe it will offer a real-world range of around 150-200 km per charge. It gets the NXP microcontrollers that help in quick throttle response.

In terms of technology, S6 is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity with 4G support, Wifi, built-in Google, Snapdragon OS, OTA updates and more. It is also the first RE motorcycle to feature a Vehicle Control Unit and lean-sensing ABS and engine brake control features.

Royal Enfield is suspected to launch the S6 next year. It will be positioned at a premium, which could go above Rs 2.5 lakh.
