- Skoda Kodiaq RS spotted undisguised
- The official bookings will commence from June 22
- It will be sold as a CBU model
Skoda fans rejoice as the brand is all set to launch the RS variant of the Kodiaq SUV in India soon. The brand had earlier announced that the official bookings would begin on June 22, 2026, and now a red-coloured production model has been spotted in Maharashtra just days ahead of its launch.
The Kodiaq RS is basically a sport version of the standard Kodiaq. It gets the cosmetic tweaks like the sporty bumpers, new 20-inch lightweight dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook tyres, a new black sporty grille at the front with the ‘RS’ logo, and black mirrors.
Skoda will bring the Kodiaq RS as a CBU or completely built unit, which means that it will be priced substantially higher than the standard version. On the inside, it packs black-coloured upholstery with red stitching, race pedals, RS badging on the steering wheel and seats, and a red-coloured start/stop button.
Mechanically, the Kodiaq RS will use the 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine that makes 261 bhp and 400 Nm, which has been sourced from the Octavia RS. This powertrain is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the Kodiaq RS also gets the intelligent all-wheel drive system. The global-spec Kodiaq RS can sprint 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, and it has a top speed of 231 km/h.
The feature list will also be lengthy on the Kodiaq RS. It will come loaded with a 13-inch infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree view, and more.
We suspect that the Kodiaq RS will be priced somewhere around Rs 55-60 lakh.
