2026 Skoda Slavia facelift: What to expect?

The new Slavia facelift will be the first update for the sedan since its debut in the Indian market in 2022. Multiple test mules have been spotted previously, giving us a faint hint of what to expect from it. Visually, the new model will feature a redesigned front fascia with a set of new LED headlights, a new grille with vertical slats and segmented LED daytime running lights, new foglight housings, and a redesigned front bumper.

The side profile is expected to remain largely unaltered. It will get a set of new alloy wheels to give it a change from the side view. Meanwhile, the rear will feature a new set of LED taillights and likely a new bumper.

On the inside, Skoda is expected to feature a redesigned digital instrument console and a bigger infotainment screen similar to the Kushaq facelift. A new cabin theme is also likely to follow, along with new features like massaging seats, OTA updates for the infotainment system, new LED ambient lights, and more.

Mechanically, Skoda will continue to offer the current 1.0 TSI and the 1.5 TSI engine options. However, similar to the Kushaq facelift, the 1.0 TSI engine will get a new 8-speed torque converter AISIN-sourced gearbox, which shall replace the current 6-speed AT gearbox. The new gearbox is likely to improve the power delivery in a linear fashion and also improve the fuel economy on the highway.

With that said, the new Slavia facelift will miss out on features like a 360-degree camera and an ADAS safety suite. This is because the current architecture does not allow Skoda to make alterations related to these specific electronic upgrades. We shall see a suite of ADAS features on the next generation of the Slavia and Kushaq.

The new Slavia facelift is likely to be priced slightly higher than the current model, especially for the range-topping variants, due to the new feature additions.
