- X440 T version gets the biggest hike of Rs 5,000
- X440 is now priced at Rs 2.36-2.84 lakh (ex-showroom)
If you were planning to buy the Harley-Davidson X440, get ready to shell out more out of your pocket because the American heritage motorcycle manufacturer has increased the prices of the X440 model in India. The latest price hike comes after the consistently increasing input and raw material costs and the weakening Indian currency against the foreign exchange rates.
With that said, the X440 is available in three variants: S, Vivid, and T. The entry-level S variant has witnessed the least price hike of Rs 1,000, thus taking its price to Rs 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Vivid variant, which is a more loaded version, is now expensive by Rs 4,000, thus taking its ex-showroom price to Rs 2.59 lakh.
Meanwhile, the X440 T, the latest variant of the bike that was introduced last year with design, visual, and feature updates, is now expensive by Rs 5,000. This is the most affected version by the price hike, and it is now priced at Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
The X440 was co-developed with Hero MotoCorp. In fact, Hero also launched its own version of the X440, badged Mavrik. But the Mavrik could not pull sufficient buyers, and Hero had to pull the plug on it.
Powering the X440 is a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that makes 27 bhp and 38 Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and gets a slipper clutch as well.
